This Cookie Policy explains how [Volta AI Limited] ("Volta", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on volta.com.
It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which sets out how we handle personal data more generally.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and understand how you use the site.
"Similar technologies" include things like pixels, web beacons, local storage and software development kits (SDKs). Where this policy refers to "cookies", we mean cookies and similar technologies together.
3. The types of cookies we use
We group cookies into four categories:

5. Internet-based advertising trackers - detail
Volta uses third-party advertising platforms to deliver targeted advertising. The trackers below operate to measure ad effectiveness and to retarget visitors who have shown interest in our content.
LinkedIn Insight Tag Used to measure conversions on LinkedIn ads and to retarget LinkedIn users who have visited Volta. The tag is placed in your browser with a validity of 90 days. LinkedIn provides Volta with anonymised reports. You can opt out within your LinkedIn account settings, or by setting a permanent opt-out cookie via LinkedIn's own opt-out controls.
Meta (Facebook) Pixel Used to measure conversions on Meta ads (Facebook and Instagram), and to retarget visitors. Meta processes data including IP address, browser information and interaction with our site. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account. Aggregated, anonymised reports are returned to Volta. You can manage preferences in your Facebook Ad Preferences or visit facebook.com/ads/preferences.
Reddit Pixel Used to measure conversion on Reddit ads. Data collected includes IP, browser type, referring page, pages visited and conversions. Aggregated only. You can manage preferences via Reddit advertising settings.
X (Twitter) Pixel Used to measure conversion on X ads. Data is anonymised and aggregated. You can manage in your X account ad settings.
Google Ads and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Used for web analytics and ad attribution. Collects device type, browser, IP, and interactions. Data is processed in accordance with Google's terms. You can control via Google's Ad Personalisation settings.
Hotjar (or alternative behaviour analytics) Used to generate heatmaps, scroll maps and (where enabled) session recordings to improve our UX. We configure Hotjar to anonymise or exclude sensitive form fields. You can opt out via the link in our Cookie Policy or via Hotjar's own opt-out at hotjar.com.
HubSpot Forms (or alternative form / CRM provider) Used to capture leads from contact and gated-content forms. The information you submit (typically name, email and company) is stored under Volta's CRM. Processing basis is legitimate interests / pre-contractual steps.

6. How to manage cookies
Through our cookie banner. When you first visit the Site, you can set your cookie preferences through the banner. You can change those preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer.

We may update this Cookie Policy when our use of cookies changes. The "Last updated" date will reflect any changes. The version always live on the Site is the current one.
